Oh the night of nights. Santa comes to town, lights all aglow, food to be prepared and enjoyed, and a time to celebrate Christ's birth What's not to love about Christmas Eve? What does your day consist of today? Is it a day full of cooking and cleaning, wrapping gifts, and perhaps the dreaded last minute shopping? Or do you get to sit down and relax? Are you hosting the big event or just simply a guest?
Whichever it is I hope it's simply the best day yet.
As for me and my house, this is the day we prepare dinner for my side of the family. We cook, clean, and run any last minute errands. Attend a candle light service at church to help us stay focused on Jesus. So although this is a chaotic day its a good chaotic. Something about seeing your family all joined together, talking, sharing a meal, and opening one another's gifts just makes all the last minute craziness seem like nothing at all. What a grand and joyous occasion. May you all be blessed this day.
When you have a moment , sit down , breathe, relax, and just write about what you love about this night or what you loathe. Or if its a bad time of year, reflect on that, pour your soul out into your writing. Is there someone you love who has passed and you dearly miss, write them a letter today, tuck it away, and when you miss them take that letter out so you can be reminded that they too still love you even though they may be gone. Grab a paper and a pen and get writing.
Blessings
Mandy
