Well today is the day. How do you spend this day? Do you prepare a big meal or do you eat out? Do you exchange presents with loved ones? What's your tradition for this day?
For us this day was relaxing. We have all our Christmas Exchanges before Christmas so our family gets to stay home and take time for us. We open a few gifts in the morning, have breakfast, then head out to church. To arrive back home , eat lunch and finish opening our gifts from one another. Later the children enjoy their gifts and hubby and I either play games with the children and just hang out and relax.
We typically have Homemade Cinnamon roll's but today the yeast didn't want to cooperate , but what's one to do life goes on right. Don't sweat the small stuff. We'll just have to treat ourselves to a nice Cinnabon here very soon, that's not a bad thing at all. Thankfully that's not the only thing offered for breakfast or we'd all be real hunger by lunch time. So an egg casserole it is. Other snaffoo's of the day well what to have for dinner. We usually have fondue but failed to plan accordingly , so hmmm what's one to do with that. Luckily there was a grocery store open this morning so after church we decided we'd get stuff to make Teriyaki chicken, Oriental chicken Salad, and some egg rolls. So we got all the fixin's , went home and finished unwrapping gifts and hanging out. It's funny how things really just work themselves out. God truly is amazing.
Did you have any Christmas Mishaps, if so what were they? Please share, that way I won't feel like the only one who had a few mishaps.
Blessings,
Mandy
