Fur Family Update

Do I have a story to tell you....

Our fur family Bear our Chocolate Lab, and Scout our Lab/Husky mix have settled in nicely in our new home. They keep us busy in deed.

Scout the puppy sure does love socks, oh my , the kid and I constantly find him with someone socks. Sadly, we even keep the doors closed, but he manages some how to grab or sneak a sock every time we take him outside to go do his thing. Seriously, dog this sock thing is getting old. Oh but its not just socks, it's paper too. You know that old saying that some of our fellow classmates would say to our teachers when they failed to turn in their assignments. Yeah you know the one, the one that says, "My dog at my homework", yeah that one. I can say that if my kids were to tell me the dog ate their homework I would believe them. Cause he sure has tried to. If we don't have the chairs pushed all the way in to the table, he will find away to jump up just enough to get that darn piece of paper. UGH!!!
We will break him of these horrible habits someway or another but he will get broken of it.

Now Bear our Chocolate Lab and the oldest whom is around 13 years old. Seems to have this really bad habit, that he hasn't had before . That is peeing and occasionally pooping on my floors. Not because we don't take him out to the bathroom because we most certainly do. I swear he's just trying to get back at us because we have Scout and because we moved. But what I'd really like to think is because he's getting old and sometimes really can't just hold his bladder. Other then that he pretty much just lays around, unless of course Scout tries to play with him. Which that's a whole other matter. Lets just say the barking and playing can really take a toll on my nerves.

But let me tell you this little story that just happened this evening. So we have an outside kennel to house the dogs in when we're going to be gone for a time . Well both the dogs of course have been digging here and there but nothing to big. Well a whole had finally been made just enough that Scout could almost stick his head through. So we decided tonight we'd put Scout in the house in his inside Kennel we weren't going to be gone long. And that we'd just put Bear outside, figured he'd be fine out there. He wouldn't do anything. So wrong we were. One of our awesome neighbors messaged me but also called my daughter as we were driving home to inform us that Bear had been to their house. They had tried to catch him but he didn't have his collar on. UGH!!!! She told Chloe that they would keep an eye out for him and they would help us look for him if they couldn't catch him when we got home.  Thankfully he had stayed between our two houses and the neighbors were able to coax him back to their yard until we got home. So when we got home, Corri had brought us over to him and we talked for a bit. We are forever grateful that we hadn't put Scout out there as well. We are so thankful that they found him, and took care of Bear for us. They are lending us another Kennel to use for Bear until we can fix our outside Kennel. This was a total God thing. I can see things more and more each day why God lead us to this home, to this area. We really do have some great neighbors and a wonderful community.

Those of you with your fur babies , love them and keep them safe. We hope all of you have some wonderful neighbors that are willing to go above and beyond to help you.

Blessings to you all.
